Because I’m happy

So it's been a really long time since I have post but I have a really huge excuse, I got Married. So it's been crazy since I got back and I am still really mesmerized by the whole adventure.

Besides, it's a blog not a full time job so let's get realistic I have a life and a pretty busy one. But I felt really guilty. When I decided to get my blog back on track I was really motivated but since then I got caught up in my wedding planning, my job and of course my everyday life so now summer is just around the corner and it's such a beautiful excuse to make a come back.

I am going to make major changes here, the blog will be more interactive and I have million of ideas in mind. I need to show you more secrets about my extraordinary city : London. Plus there is a lot to do on the web side, I have discovered many things and I cannot really wait to show it to you guys and the world.

So how was my wedding ? In one word : Happy. Thanks to Pharrell Williams my wedding song is "happy" and I totally agree with that choice. I had an incredible Bachelorette party and an amazing time on the D- day. It was simple, fun and full of love. I know it sounds really cheesy but guess what not matter who you are at a wedding you are full of cheesiness (is that even a word?). Anyway, I have shared on instagram and facebook a lot of pictures lately so even if I don't post here you know where to find me.

Easter Time - What a wonderfull time !

Easter was really realxing for me. I had the week end off, worked on monday then 2 more days off. I am fully prepared for the upcoming days. It was really great compare to last year.

Saturday I had the pleasure to take part in one of our workshop at work (Cath Kidston Piccadilly) and it was amazing. It was a Floral arrangement workshop and I learned a lot. My wedding is coming in a month now and I have learned few tips to take care myself of my wedding flowers so it was a really clever workshop. The lady of Battersea Flower Station was lovely and really pleasant. The flowers (which I cannot still name because I am a lost cause when it comes to flowers) were incredible and so great for that easter week end. Even If that is not the colors I have chosen for my wedding it's definetly the flowers I want so that was really convenient. At the end I went home with a mug (yup a cath kidston stanley size mug) full of my sweet bouquet of flowers and a lemonade. My co-worker and amazing event and marketing assistant Jazmine was a star. Our workshops are free so it's a real plus, what more can you want to Brighten up your day ? Oh yes maybe pictures, see below.

Let's Party Like it's 1995

Last friday OMG they were back again. I had the blast of my life (Until my Wedding Day of course calm down). Yes you heard correctly, I saw the Backstreet Boys at the O2 a week ago. How can I explain my feelings ? Well I was 15 again and it was just amazing. To be fair, I know that you are probably laughing at me right now but I don't care because this group is a huge part of my life and I assume it no matter what. So it was 2 hours and a half of pure '90 songs and new one. I have a couple of pictures for you guys to enjoy so have fun! You will see they are just awesome. I was close to the stage "lucky me" but not enough "too bad" but that's alright because Nick Carter will be mine next time. Yeah I wish...;)

Happiness

Lately life has been kind with me. I cannot be happier and healthy in my mind. But someone told me one day that Happiness is a choice. Of course life is not black or white, some events may change our choices. Nevertheless we have to grab every moment and make it a happy memory. The silver linnings are in every steps we take and being aware of that is a huge achievement. So let's make a positive post and I want you guys, whoever you are to take a moment and write down 7 things that makes you happy.

1. Baking, because I can be creative and see smiles on people faces when they taste it.

2. Photos, because they are memories.

3. Carousels, because it is my childhood and they just make me smile.

4. The people I love, because without them I wouldn't be who I am.

5. The color mint, because it represent spring and beautiful warm days.

6. Pancakes, because they are confy food for when I am sad.

7. Music, because I can loose myself.

I'm Getting Married

It's a Vintage Fun Fair theme - let's have it Mint & Coral

Right so if you follow me on instagram you already know the news. But if you are new around, yup that's true in less than two month I am going to be a married Lady. The big day is coming pretty fast, I am going to said yes to mister Y the 24th of May in my hometown in France. It's not a big budget wedding, thanks God but still. Me and my other half are together for many years now so it's just another way to say "I Love You" to each other and get our families together. Plus, being far away from home is not an easy thing to cop with everyday so I think that this wedding is something that everyone close to us needed to have.

I am going to have a "Vintage Fun Fair" theme, again we don't have any budget so it's just bits and bumps here and there. Even if it's not a big thing that will be our day, it need to be special in a way so I wanted to personalize it a little bit. In France we don't do theme, we have strong traditions but we don't like to spend money on things that we don't need so it's a bit hard to explain to my family that yes I want a theme and yes I want a certain kind of decorations. So I have to breathe everyday very deeply and deal with my sister, my best friend and of course my Mom. My Dad is not very happy, not because he doesn't like my other half, no no! Because as he said "I pay for the venue, deal with the rest, I don't want to hear anything". So yeah, getting married is not easy because everyone try to get involved in any way possible and so that is a big mess at the end.

But you know what, I am a happy Woman. They are all out of control but who cares, that's part of it otherwise there is no fun at all. So now about the details, I am getting a mint dress, it's a really stunning dress, I can't wait to wear it on that day, it was hard to find it but Horrrray! Mister Y got his suit, a grey one with mint touch everywhere. I still need to find my shoes though. We have got pretty much everything. The invitations are sent and the wedding favors all ready for me to fill out with marshmallows when I arrived (yeahhh 50 mini jar to fill !!! can't wait!).

I will try to make another wedding post in a month. I hope to get my shoes by that time. I am looking for mint one with heels of course and a vintage touch, any ideas ? I am deseparte, oh and not expensive please. Me difficult ? Nah just a Bridezilla ;)

I am addicted to the color Mint and lately many brands are really too sassy with me. Mint is everywhere, one of my favourite brand "Fossil" is going all minty for their spring collection and my God too bad I am broke right now but payday is next week so let's see what I can offer myself.
